Each herb brings its own unique qualities to the Haven:
Lavender – traditionally associated with relaxation, comfort, and emotional ease
Catnip – provides sensory enrichment and may have different effects depending on how an individual cat responds to it
Valerian Root – traditionally associated with relaxation and sensory enrichment
Rose Buds – associated with love, trust, emotional openness, and connection
Lemon Balm – traditionally associated with relaxation, emotional balance, and a sense of comfort
Creating Your Cats' Herb Haven
This is a shared space—but each cat gets to choose their own way of participating.
Choose a quiet, comfortable space in your home.
Let your cats help with choosing the location.
Place a clean towel or blanket where each cat can comfortably explore.
Sprinkle a small amount of herbs or flowers around the space.
Allow your cats to discover the Haven without pressure or expectation.
Leave the Haven available for 3–5 days, or longer if your cats continue to enjoy it.
Refresh or add herbs as needed.
If your cats prefer to experience the Haven separately, that's perfectly okay.
Harmony doesn't mean everyone has to do the same thing.
How Your Cats May Show You They're Enjoying Their Haven
Every cat will interact with the Haven differently. You may notice:
Rolling, rubbing, licking, or gentle chewing
Sitting or resting on or near the herbs
Playing, stretching, or drooling
Deep breaths or relaxed body language
Slow blinks or softly closed eyes
